We’re Hiring: Payroll Supervisor

The GIFTED Healthcare Payroll Supervisor has a leadership responsibility for all Payroll related processes aligned to our company, financials and values.

Primary Expectations and Objectives:

  • Leadership position, responsible for the direct guidance, coaching and mentoring of the payroll team on payroll leading practices.
  • Oversee the receipt, review and recording of all clinical timesheets – ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  • Oversee the calculation, entering, and printing of manual checks, as well as coordinating the preparations of all respective payroll direct deposits.
  • Process payroll and post timecards for clinical employees.
  • Generate and review all payroll related reporting.
  • Manage workflow to ensure payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
  • Responsible for any/all adjustments and changes to direct deposit/ tax form changes
  • Work with Treasury to perform payroll related wire transfers, NATCHA file generation and upload for clinical direct deposit payroll
  • Responsible for all payroll related compliance filings, including 941 Deposits (completed twice a week) and workers compensation reporting.
  • Assist controller with the analysis and importing of clinical payroll into QuickBooks, including the classification of salary, bonus, travel, and reimbursement expenses.
  • Payroll tax remittance and/or tax return filing of monthly scheduled payers; Reconciliation and production of all W2’s and annual payroll reports (including 940 and SSA uploads)
  • Create trust and value with Gifted Healthcare’s clients
  • Other duties as assigned by management
  • Responsible to identify company/team areas for improvement on an ongoing basis

Key Metrics for Success:

  • Provide a high level of production while maintaining accuracy
  • Ability to perform with a high level of service and touch, both to clinicians and internal staff members, providing both satisfaction to our clinicians from a service and accuracy perspective, as well as accuracy from a corporate compliance perspective.
  • Ensure precise reconciliation and controls
  • Ensure timesheets are processed in a timely manner
  • Ensure direct deposit changes have been made in a timely manner
  • Ensure that the payroll process runs smoothly and staff are paid accurately
  • Full compliance with documentation and reporting requirements and established work rules
  • Excellent communication and customer service
  • Ability to escalate sensitive situations
  • Ensure reporting provided to the Controller and CFO are accurate and reconciled
  • Ensure the payroll process runs smoothly and clinical staff are paid accurately

Position Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of payroll best practices and policies
  • Ability to meet deadlines and juggle multiple priorities
  • Ability to be CEO of self
  • Working knowledge of Quickbooks, a plus
  • Strong understanding of Payroll
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining high energy and positive attitude
  • Above average verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-direction, good judgment and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational, decision-making and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including professional attitude, ability to delegate and relate to all colleagues
  • Honest, ethical and operates in a confidential manner
