RESPONSIBILITIES:

Speech-language pathologists work with children and adults who have different severities of problems with speech and language, including related cognitive or social communication problems. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Planning and providing direct/indirect services consistent with speech-language therapy goals contained in the student’s IEP
• Evaluate students using district-approved evaluation instruments and complete an evaluation report following district guidelines
• Provide speech therapy services to individual students; consult with teachers, staff and parents on classroom interventions and techniques
• Attend ARD/IEP meetings and complete ARD/IEP documentation in the district approved web-based ARD/IEP program

CERTIFICATIONS:

• Master’s degree or equivalent in speech-language pathology
• Licensed SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY
