Temporary License Processing
It takes approximately 10 business days to receive a temporary license Oklahoma after all required documents have been received and the license will last for up to 3 months (must not have any prior convictions or disciplinary action to obtain).

Must initiate a background check process in order to receive a temporary license.
Graduates of Excelsior College and other non-traditional programs should contact the Board before applying for license.
Temporary licenses are only issued while other required documents are being processed. There are additional steps that must be completed to receive a permanent license.

Reinstatement:
- Nurses with an inactive status of 2 or more years, must provide proof of current licensure in another state with employment verification of at least 520 work hours within the past 2 years.
- Evidence of status form is required if license lapsed on or before Nov 1st, 2007.
