Temporary License Processing
The Montana State Board of Nursing does not offer temporary nursing licenses. Permanent license takes about 10 days (or a few more) to be received after the board has obtained all necessary and required documents.

Temporary licenses are only issued while other required documents are being processed. There are additional steps that must be completed to receive a permanent license.
Additional Information
All licenses renew on December 31st of even-numbered years.
All RNs MUST maintain proof of 24 continuing education credits per two-year licensing period.
