Temporary License Processing
It takes approximately 1-2 weeks to receive a temporary license in Maine after the state has received all necessary documents and the license will last for up to 90 days (must not have any prior convictions or disciplinary action to obtain).

2 X 2 Photo that is signed and dated on the back (no more than 2 years old)

Background Check (if declaring Maine as primary residence)
Temporary licenses are only issued while other required documents are being processed. There are additional steps that must be completed to receive a permanent license.
